My Story

I’ve always believed growth begins with learning to understand your unique purpose and potential. My journey started as a young immigrant motivated to explore every opportunity I could find. That drive led me to Columbia Pictures, first as an intern, then into the Home Video division (yes, I realize that dates me), before I shifted focus to the internet. Through each step, I discovered a passion for integrating digital engagement, innovative business models, and data-driven marketing—tools that can spark transformation and help businesses thrive.

My path eventually led me to leadership roles at KPMG Consulting, TheWrap News, and Variety.com, where I got a firsthand look at how strategic planning, operational scaling, and community-building can radically reshape a company’s trajectory. Yet I always wanted to build something more personal—an environment where I could provide high-touch, senior-level guidance to organizations that might otherwise be priced out of top-tier consulting.

That vision came to life when I co-founded KLJD Consulting with my wife, Lauren. Today, we work hand-in-hand with mission-driven startups and established organizations alike to refine their strategies, diversify revenue streams, and streamline operations. Teaching and continuous learning remain a big part of my life, so earning an Executive MBA in December 2024 became the perfect way to stay on top of emerging trends and modernize the frameworks I use with clients.

When I’m not immersed in advising leadership teams or lecturing on business and marketing strategy, I’m at home in Ojai, California—often walking my dog, spending time with my family, or simply recharging with a good vinyl LP. It’s an incredible privilege to help leaders and organizations clarify their goals and build on the potential they already have. I can’t wait to see where this journey takes us next.
