Lauren E. Davis

I’ve always believed that people are at the heart of every successful organization. My journey in HR began after several years of serving as an Administrative Hearing Examiner for the City of Los Angeles Department of Transportation. During that time, I realized that my conflict-resolution skills and legal education offered a unique lens for creating fair, supportive workplaces. In 2005, I stepped into my first official HR role at Target Corporation, tackling everything from employee relations to compliance and culture-building.

My passion for helping businesses thrive led me to become a Senior HR Business Partner at an industry-leading PEO, where I collaborated with organizations of all sizes to strengthen their HR infrastructures. Yet I always wanted to build something more personal—somewhere I could blend high-touch client engagement with deep strategic insights. In January 2021, I joined my husband at KLJD Consulting, where I am co-owner and now serve as President and lead consultant of our HR Practice.

 

Today, I work closely with for-profit and nonprofit clients across Los Angeles, Ventura County, Santa Barbara County, and San Francisco, guiding them through compliance, policy implementation, and culture initiatives.

 

When I’m not immersed in the world of HR, I’m at home in Ojai, California, enjoying time with my husband and our dog—usually with a good book in hand or something sweet baking in the oven.
